Cinderella’s Castle at Walt Disney World.

There isn’t a little girl yet who hasn’t at some point her life wanted to visit the Cinderella castle at Walt Disney World’s Magical Kingdom since being built. The tale of Cinderella itself is a dream and this dream Walt Disney brought to life. The Cinderella castle serves as an entrance into Fantasyland and people travel from all over just for this one experience at the Disney theme parks.
You can catch a glimpse of the Cinderella castle when you are walking on Main Street, U.S.A., but the castle itself, is located almost smack dab in the middle of the theme park. The 190 foot high castle is beautiful and offers not only spectacular views in the day, but watching the moat around the castle light up at night is simply breath-taking to say the least.
When you enter into the castle itself, every girl will feel like their once “fairy tale” has become a reality. There are mosaic murals on the walls and tiles that are made of 14-karat gold. Many real castles were used as an inspirational piece when creating the Cinderella castle, one in particular being the Fontainebleau castle. At the end of the day in the Magic Kingdom resort you can see fireworks surrounding the Cinderella Castle, making the experience even more magical.
There are certain resorts that give guests a wonderfully enchanting view of the Cinderella Castle and these include the Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, you may even be one of the lucky guest that can see the same spectacular view from their room.
Make sure when you visit the Disney World Magical Kingdom to be sure and take the time to visit the Cinderella Castle for a magical memory you will remember for many years to come.

The Haunted Mansion at Disney World.

The Haunted Mansion is a great place to experience especially if you like creepy and crawly. This attraction, the Haunted Mansion, is located inside the Magic Kingdom theme park on Liberty Square. This haunted house brings ghosts to life, over 999 to be exact, and you never know what to expect around each corner. The good news is that while this may seem like a scary experience, remember, Disney is a family friendly place and there is no blood and guts, but some of the content in the show may scare smaller children. Disney does say that the Haunted Mansion experience is great for all ages.
You begin touring the mansion by entering the 18th century mansion, walk through the foyer and into the portrait room. You will then start to notice that the room suddenly starts to get colder and the room now has now way out, no windows or doors.
You will be greeted by a host that will lead you to a buggy to begin your ride through the mansion. You will pass through many rooms and Madame Leota will tell the mansion’s many ghosts to let their presence be known and show themselves.
This experience will be one that you will remember for many years to come as is the whole Disney theme park experience. Guests that have smaller children will be asked to take turns to experience everything and guests that do not speak English can rent translators that will make the experience at Disney’s Magical Kingdom and haunted Mansion more fun. Don’t forget to check out the other attractions at the Magical Kingdom as well, like Cinderella’s Castle. Disney’s Magical Kingdom is a great park to visit as well as all the other theme parks in Disney for days and days of great family fun.

A ThunderCat in Florida!

You remember that old ’80s cartoon “ThunderCats”, don’t you? A fun, action-packed cartoon featuring humanoid cats–a lion dude named “Lion-O”, panther man named “Panthro”, tiger hombre “Tygra”, cheetah girl “Cheetara” (not from the folks at Disney, though), and two young kitty kids named “WilyKit” and “WilyKat”. Oh, and the weird Garfield concocted mutation ‘Snarf’ (aptly named due to his strange verbal tick, a sort of ‘snarfy’ meow). And you can’t beat that cool Sword of Omens either.

Well, guess what? Florida now has their own true ‘ThunderCat’. No, he’s not a half-lynx or -bobcat or -fluffy Maine Coon. And he definitely doesn’t have a cool sword with the Eye of Thundera in it. This ‘ThunderCat’ is just a regular human being like everyone else in Florida, specifically Spring Hill, Florida, to be exact.

His name is James Jablon, and he’s planning a stunt to raise money for his wildlife center entitled the Wildlife Rehabilitation of Hernando. How? By actually LIVING with two wild African lions in a fenced enclosure for one month. The lion-man entered the lion’s den like the biblical Daniel in the Old Testament this past Saturday and plans to sleep on hay (soft on the back) next to the two lions (which by the way are named “Lea” and “Ed”). He’ll also eat when they eat. And hopefully they won’t eat HIM. Thankfully, James has prepared a containment plan to hide in a sort of ‘tree house’ when the lions start getting ‘territorial’ with each other or even him, if you get the picture.

The adventure will, of course, be streamed online live straight through till January 31st; and let’s all pray he’s still whole by then. Because wild lions aren’t a pleasant bunch. But you never know. And all watchers of the live streaming show can possibly say is “ThunderCats…. HO!”
